The top 10 reviews about the beautiful Camilo Beach in Portugal.
top 10 reviews, each highlighting the beauty of this picturesque coastal gem.
Simply beautiful, but it’s small. To fully enjoy this little paradise, you have to go early, never after 10 am. However, there’s a beach right next to it with access through the sand that many are unaware of, allowing you to enjoy a bit more of the sandy expanse. Will definitely return.
2-A truly inspiring work of nature!
The visual impact upon arriving at the top of the cliff is already marvelous, but overcoming the challenge of descending that long wooden staircase becomes invigorating against such a backdrop. The beauty of the sea’s colors, the caves, the tunnel, and the inviting stretch of light sand compose an unforgettable scene.
It’s an absolutely beautiful beach with a framing quite different from the usual. The water is great, clean, and refreshing for hot days. During peak season, it can be challenging to find a spot as the beach is very small and quite popular. The ideal time to go is during low tide when the sandy area is larger. I recommend bringing food and cool drinks if you plan to stay on the beach, as there is a very long staircase for beach access that you won’t want to climb up and down more than once.
It’s an absolutely beautiful beach, but quite small. It’s necessary to go early to secure a spot, especially during peak season. The sea at this beach is excellent and marvelous. There are many steps. Going down, ‘every saint helps,’ but going up can be a bit tiring. For those who want to book in advance the excellent Camilo Restaurant that is up here, it will be the icing on the cake. It is very much worth coming to this beach and to the restaurant. I highly recommend it without a doubt.
5-Paradise is here!
Of all the Algarve beaches I’ve visited, it’s undoubtedly the most beautiful. I was there in April, couldn’t resist the beauty and color of the water, and went for it. The temperature was still low, but after getting in, it was well worth it. Swimming in this sea, with this landscape, is an incredible experience. Highly recommend it.
6-The most beautiful!
One of my favorites in the region, the beach has a beautiful view. If you arrive around 9 am, you’ll find it empty; people usually start arriving around 11 am. As it’s a small strip of land, it tends to get quite crowded. Portuguese beaches don’t have restaurant infrastructure like in Brazil, so I recommend bringing your own water and snacks. The access stairs are well-built, safe, and spacious.
A truly beautiful beach!!! I went at various times on two consecutive days. The water’s color is incredible, clear, with light sand and rocks of various shapes, some forming arches and tunnels. There is a staircase that provides access. In the morning, the tide is low, and it’s possible to walk among the rocks. It’s best to go early to enjoy it because shade starts to appear in the afternoon. The water is quite cold, but even in December, I swam a bit.
8-The most beautiful beach in the Algarve!
The beach is wonderful and very close to Ponta da Piedade. There’s a long staircase to get to the beach, but every step is worth it to enjoy the view and the beach. Since there are many stairs and no vendors on the beach, it’s good to bring something to eat and drink. The seawater, like in the entire region, is chilly, but it’s so beautiful that it’s worth the effort. If you can swim well or have a float, it’s worth taking a stroll in the sea. Just don’t go too far so you don’t have trouble getting back!
9-300 Km to see you
I saw a picture of the beach that left me in awe. I really wanted to bring someone here and spend moments just admiring the beauty of the place and the pleasure of being together. Unfortunately, I came alone, but the place is beautiful. The beach is marvelous and one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. The water was less cold than I imagined, and it was colder outside due to a storm that hit Portugal. It’s definitely worth going. Besides, right next to the beach, there’s another fantastic tourist spot with cliffs and a wonderful sea. Praia do Camilo has a beautiful restaurant with the same name.
Natural Beauty at this Beach
One of the most beautiful beaches in Lagos!
It’s small but of enormous beauty, with white sand and crystal-clear waters. During the peak summer season, it’s always quite popular, so it’s necessary to go early to find a good spot. With the rising tide, the sandy area becomes limited. The sea is calm, with the opportunity for good dives near the rocks. There’s a small bar where you can refresh with drinks. At the top, there’s a restaurant where the food is excellent, not to mention the view.
For people with mobility difficulties, it’s not the best choice as there is access with a staircase of 200 steps.
At least one swim and a photo are guaranteed!
